We will discuss the muscle groups that make up the core and how they work together to create a solid foundation. Learn the latest concepts in retraining core stability, including specific activation and exercise progressions for the pelvic floor, diaphragm, transversus abdominus and deep spinal stabilisers.

Pelvic stability plays the key role in rehabilitation and prevention of all lower limb injuries. Discover how the muscle sling systems that go across the pelvis provide us with stability to safely perform functional movements. We will take you through assessment techniques and exercise progressions for the anterior oblique, posterior oblique, lateral and deep longitudinal systems. With tips and tricks for activating individual muscles and down-training those prone to spasm.

A strong core and pelvis are the foundation for any good rehabilitation program. However, poorly performed flexion and extension exercises can be a major contributor to lower back pain. So, it is important that you are able to assess the quality of the movement and provide the correct cues.
